The results are quite surprising, due to the straight-forwardness of the programming interface and the availability of tools. Our paper recounts the results of a simplistic search for off-the-shelf code which can be utilized for the creation of malicious software for cell phones. Our search yielded a self-replicating phone virus which we simulated in a contained environment.
